Writers LIVE! the library's flagship author event series, is back for its eleventh season of bringing the community together with authors and their books. 2019 boasts an impressive line-up of best-selling, critically acclaimed, award-winning authors from a variety of genres who will discuss their latest works, chat with you, and sign books. Harriet Alida Lye Harriet Alida Lye is a Toronto-based writer and the founder of the international literary magazine "Her Royal Majesty." She studied Philosophy and English at the University of King's College and lived in Paris for the better part of eight years, working for the famous bookstore Shakespeare & Company, eventually becoming a writer-in-residence. Her fiction, essays, and reporting have been published by numerous outlets including VICE, Hazlitt, Happy Reader, and The Guardian. Her debut novel, "The Honey Farm," a dark, seductive, and threatening tale, set on a remote honey farm teeming with secrets. The book has received praise from the New York Times and was selected as a 2018 Barnes & Noble Discover Pick.
