Writers LIVE! Presents: Glory Edim

Friends of the Palm Beach County Library System present Writers LIVE!
Writers LIVE! the library's flagship author event series, is back for its eleventh season of bringing the community together with authors and their books. 2019 boasts an impressive line-up of best-selling, critically acclaimed, award-winning authors from a variety of genres who will discuss their latest works, chat with you, and sign books. The library has strived to make this a memorable year by providing something for nearly every reader in our area. Browse the lineup and mark your calendar with nearly half a year of literary events!

Glory Edim is the founder of Well-Read Black Girl, a Brooklyn-based book club and digital platform that celebrates the uniqueness of Black literature and sisterhood. The book club's popularity led to the founding of the Well-Read Black Girl Festival, and the recently released essay collection, "Well-Read Black Girl: Finding our Stories, Discovering Ourselves." Curated by Edim, the anthology includes inspiring contributions from black women writers including Jesmyn Ward, Tayari Jones, and Jacqueline Woodson. These timely original essays shine a light on how important it is that we all‐regardless of gender, race, religion, or ability‐have the opportunity to find ourselves in literature.
